Let’s Start Talking

We, as a society, really have no idea how *suffocated* people are in their emotions. Most people have *nobody* to express themselves entirely to. Everyone is holding back their *vulnerabilities* to maintain the *social image* of a confident and happy person.
Heart-to-heart conversations have become *rare, artificial and shallow*. And most hearts are filled with *empty defences*.
Most people can’t even talk to their *life-partners openly* for the fear of being judged or rejected. Emotions await just a release. Social images make sure weakness is not glorified.
Children have *bottled up* stress. Young people suffer anxiety and depression.
It is just lack of social support. It is *lack of non-judgmental* friendships. It is result of *fast and busy lives* where nobody has time to just sit and watch someone cry.
It is result of *instant and impatient lifestyle* practices, that *emotions have started feeling like waste of time*.
We have *WhatsApp and Facetime and social media* – and we also have *stress and anxiety and depression*.
Our forefathers had neither. Because they talked to each other. Because talking helps.
The *face-to-face* type talking, the *just-listen-to-me* type talking, the *hold-my-hand-and-let-me-cry* type talking, the *sit-next-to-me-and-listen-to-my-silence* type talking… the talking where *the person can be themselves and say anything they feel without the fear of any judgement or loss or rejection*.
Today, we don’t like that type of talking. Those conversations when someone begins to undress one’s mind. In fact we *avoid people*. And so, mental illness is epidemic. Naturally.
There is not much we can do. But we can offer a *listening* !
Let’s let people talk without any fear. Let’s create conversations.
*Let’s start talking again*.

You were born to be Powerful

No matter what your background, where you live, how you were raised or what you have (and haven’t) experienced in your life,
you are Powerful, a brilliant, bright magnificent being and your purpose here on earth is to shine your light and be who you were born to be.

So many people allow themselves to live from their past, carrying with them old outdated patterns and beliefs that do not serve them on their journey.

Understandably, as the unconscious patterns that can run our lives without us knowing it can be very insidious, sneaky and coercive in getting us to stay safe, to blame others rather than take responsibility, and keep living in a “box” that doesn’t allow us to be all that we’re meant to be.

It’s a magnificent and powerful day when you begin to realize that everything that’s ever happened to you and everything you’ve ever experienced – both favorable, joyous experiences and gut-wrenchingly painful experiences – is all part of a Master Plan.

This is now and always only ever will be moving you toward you highest good.

Nobody is born to suffer, complain, blame and play it safe until the day they die.

Nope. Rather, you were born to have experiences that provide you with the most stunning combination of wisdom, knowledge, courage, strength and heart to be a force for good in the world.

It’s difficult to imagine that the challenges we face are working for us – in our favor.

Things like illness, cancer, divorce, bankruptcy, and death of a loved one aren’t the types of things anybody wants to experience.

Yet, we all go through our own “dark night” experience.

And if you remain open to receiving its gifts, you will find yourself stronger, more courageous, more grateful, more peaceful, and freer after this challenging event than you were before.

So, as I began, I will close by affirming that no matter what your background, what you’ve experienced, or how you were raised… you were born to be a bright, shining, magnificent being who is liberated from all that’s held you back in the past.

And, as long as you are willing to believe this for yourself, and work toward it’s realization in your own life, you can.

And that is what I wish for you.

Light Within ?

Whether we know it or not, and whether we choose to accept it or not,

we each are a light to the rest of the world.

There is a light filled with love, compassion, understanding, empathy, courage, faith, and so much more, that is within each of us, ready to shine brightly as a beacon for others in this world–a beacon to offer some of our own light to help them find theirs.

But we have to realize it is there; and we have to add fuel to it to keep it burning brightly; and then we have to make use of it–illuminating the darkened paths before ourselves and those around us.
If we hide our light out of fear of being different, or fear of being made fun of, or fear of change,

we are doing the world a disservice–no one benefits by me being “small.”

And if I only shine dimly–for the same reasons or because I feel insignificant in comparison to those whose light is easy to see–I risk mediocrity.
We can each have a visible impact in the lives of others if we allow ourselves to be just who we are.

Our ideas are valuable, our insights can help others, and our presence can make others feel secure enough to step out of the darkness and shine brightly for all to see.
Life is journey–a search for self-fulfillment. And if we let our light shine before us, and for others to see, the journey will be much easier than travelling in the dark.

Have courage; shine your light for all to see.

And when they see your courage–when they see your light shining brightly before them–their hearts will come aglow, for you will have lit a spark within them as well.
 Let your “light” shine brightly
