Suddenly recollected an incident happened long time ago.
Years back With my son in the back seat of the car, I headed to town toward our community hall.
After only a few moments, we came to a stop.
The road blocked, we made no progress toward our goal.
My Son , five years old at the time, started fidgeting.
He sighed, then gave a huff, then a puff. “Mommy, why aren’t we going anywhere?”
From his location, his view limited, he could only see the back of my seat and the side of the road.
No matter how he tried, he could not boost himself enough to see out the front window.
Nor could he see anything behind him.
Shortly, I could see a tow truck crossing traffic to clear a distressed car several yards ahead of us.
I knew it would take some time; traffic had been reduced to one lane.
And though I could not see the stalled car, nor what might lie just past it, I trusted that all was well.
I spoke to my son , “I know you can’t see it, but there’s a tow truck. Things are clearing even as we speak! Trust me for now; we’ll get moving. I have faith!”
Then we talked about done story and In no time, we were zipping along toward our destination.
My son taught me an important truth that day: sometimes we don’t see what is just ahead; we don’t always know what is around the corner.
But keep the faith!
