It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.

When others are successful, we become successful; when humanity succeeds, we all succeed.

when we are not wasting time and energy concerning ourselves with who is going to get credit,

we can accomplish some truly amazing things.

Perhaps that is because taking credit for things usually requires much effort–effort to ensure we are thoroughly visible to others, effort to guard the credit so that others do not attempt to take it, and effort to assure that we remain far superior to others in our pursuits.

Have you ever stopped to consider just how much would be accomplished if we each were to stop worrying about who gets credit?

Or have you ever considered just what our accomplishments might look like?

My suspicions are that our efficiency, productivity, and creativity would flourish.

That our achievements would surpass most of our greatest expectations and that the results would be amazing.

Getting credit for our work, and being recognized for contributions, is something that makes us all feel nice… and it should.

It is wonderful to feel appreciated and have others show us thanks and gratitude for our talents, time, effort, and service.

However, we should always keep in mind that our achievements are the results of gifts that we have been given, and we are fortunate to have been blessed with such gifts.

Espouse more humility in your life.

Make it a point to place credit where credit is due.

We can accomplish so very much in life without worrying one bit about who is taking the credit and who is receiving the praise.

And the good we can accomplish can go on to positively affect the lives of those around us in ways that are necessary.

More importantly, with each positive contribution we add, we bring more things that are positive into our lives.

Today’s Challenge: Act with purpose and let go of the need for recognition and praise.

We live in a time of ‘take, take, take’.

Something for nothing; buy one get one free.

The truth of the matter is that simply by giving I will receive all that I need.

Giving is receiving.

Today let me find a way to ‘give’ unconditionally and with love.
Give a smile; give a word of appreciation; give a thought of good wishes; give your co-operation for a task.

Make today a day of giving and tomorrow you will receive the fruits.
